The Blue Eye Cardinal feeds on a varied diet containing shrimp and other fresh and frozen meaty foods, plus pellets, flakes and other dry prepared foods. It lives longer if kept in pairs or groups, and also lives peacefully for many years with other tank inhabitants. The Blue Eye Cardinal is reef compatible. It is a durable fish that does well in any aquarium, thus making it a very good choice for the beginner aquarists. It is a peaceful fish that gets along well with other community fishes, but sometimes, it might become a threat to smaller anemone shrimp and nano-gobies.
